A realistic look at superfoods

Superfoods are on everyone's lips. The term isn't a protected scientific one, though; it comes mainly from marketing.
Many of these foods really are rich in nutrients. But local alternatives such as flaxseed, blueberries or kale are every bit as good, and usually cheaper and easier on the environment.
What matters is not one miracle food but the bigger picture: a varied, largely plant-based diet. No single food can replace a balanced eating plan.
If you would like to know which foods genuinely make sense for your goals, I am happy to advise you individually.
Nutrition counselling covers health and prevention only. It does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.
